Hi and hello again...

Been busy with some drum tracks this week for band purposes. Think I've done about 6 in total, and they don't sound so bad if I say so myself. Got lots of song ideas on the go and really want to get it all going properly but its all stuck in a one way lift at the moment. We shall see how things turn out...
I've also been sorting some tracks out for a new project as well this week. Something heavy-rock sounding and a main title theme. I'll post up details when everythings finished.

Hey ho..
Put a new track up on my site. I've called it "Allure" for now. It's just a short track that sounds a cross between, something spacey and medieval sounding at the same time. Reminds me of something like you would hear in a mario game imo. If anyone gets a chance to hear it, let me know what you think. Thanks =)

It's been awhile...and it's gone so quick!

Just changed my site again..looking better I think. Hopefully going to be getting some more tracks down and recorded. Just need to re-arrange all my instrument libraries and such. Hope all is well..

....A title that I've been quite fond of, either for a band project or as an alter-ego name for my composing. Already got a music page on myspace but not decided yet. Got another one that I really like from which I saw in the newspaper not so long ago and it sounds very funky. Keeping it to myself tho as I don't want anyone using it! ha.
Still not got myself another keyboard so my "p", "o" and one or two other keys don't work properly. Ah well, might go and see the new bond film tonight with some friends, looks quite good.
Annnd...been tinkering with those demo's, just need to add some piano and synth parts to them now I think. Then lay down some vocals once I've fully arranged the intrumentals and they're pretty well mixed.
Gonna go and search for some new music now and possibly go onto Fable, that's if I can get on it...missus is on Lego Batman!

Little update...
Been very busy.... Done some new demo's, not quite finished but hoping to get them done as soon as I can.
Been playing on my new xbox recently as well which is all good fun....when, your not constantly being shot every 2 seconds on Call of Duty 4, online that is! Looking forward to getting Fable 2 next week and then Banjo Kazooie in November.

Finally I think I've sorted out the site. Put some tunes up.... Sounding really good actually. I'm happy with them. Just need to sort out a propper domain and I'm good. Now I can concentrate on writting some more stuff this week. Think I'm gonna be writing some music for someone I know aswell, who's doing some short film typa things. So that shall be good.

Ok... so I had to re-do the site cos I messed up my stylesheet, silly me! Nearly done it now tho. Just gotta add a few more bits, get my new domain and I'm ready to go. Might make a myspace profile but still not sure about that. Hopefully will do some more ideas this weekend as I have got a few that are unfinished.

Quick update..

Finished mixing one of my tracks, now I just need to do another seven! And then I'll be putting them onto my site. All are sounding pretty swish, well to me anyways.

Things are looking alright for Blindlight aswell. Gonna be trying out a new drummer. Think we'll see how things go. Would be great to play some of the songs again. Miss playing them, really do, think I've actually forgotten how to play most of them lol. Ah well.

And on something totally random, I'ver finally finished Twilight Princess! Yes! it has taken me absolutely ages! But I think that's due to me playing it then not playing it for like 3 months! Think I'm gonna try and finish Wind Waker next as I've not been on that for a while.

PS. listen to Dishwalla. One of my fav bands. Very Cool. Dishwalla

A little update...
Not really been working on my scores as I'm needing to get some more RAM for my laptop and still need to get a power supply for my other hard drive as the one I've got now is nearlly full. Very DIY setup I have!
I have managed to get myself some more programs tho.... Quantum Leap Stormdrum: East West and Spectrasonics Stylus RMX. Both are drum programs which I've been lacking in so I've got some more fire power in my setup now. Can't wait to use Stormdrum as Harry Gregson Williams uses this on his Metal Gear Solid themes and they are fantastic. Should be able to add quite abit to my scores and get my showreel getting together quite nicely.
I'm also still wanting to do band recordings but I'm gonna have to wait until I can get a decent enough microphone for that. I really want to use my acoustic guitar in them, and for that I need a good microphone.

Just had a listen to my "Spy theme" I suppose it could turn out like one if I added some "techno sounding" type of drums to it, but alas I don't have many good sounding techno drums lol. Sounds really nice at the moment tho, just gonna work on the rest of it and make it abit longer than what the others have been. Got a few more ideas as well for other scores so I'll get round to them soon..well maybe not soon knowing me, but I will get round to them.
On others news tho, I've done my own website which I'll put up soon, once I've done a few more scores and got some mixdowns of them. Not really any point in a site unless I have work up there for people to hear.

Thought I'd update on what I'm doing.

I'm sort of splitting up what I'm working on at the moment. For the past few weeks I've been working on some scores and have done 3 different types. An experimental sort of synthy one, an orchestral piece and a piece that sounds quite christmasy! lol. There all pretty short but theyr'e just an indication of what different styles and arrangements I can come up with.

Lately tho I've been working on an old song called "Beautiful" which is quite epic, sounds lovely, but I don't have my drumkit so I can't really sort out the backing, and the same with the bass because I don't have a bass at the moment!

So I've been trying to record the guitar parts which are all spacey, wishy washy and delay-ie, so it's not over-impowering and gives the song a nice laid back feel.

But I really want to try and writing a spy/espionage type of theme aswell as a spacey type theme or something similar...something like the x-files theme some sort of sound like that. I've got a few ideas in the works so I'll see how it goes.

I'll put some clips up soon-ish when I mix them down.

I'm about halfway there for reaching the money I need to get me car. Sent some stuff off today that I've sold on Ebay and £19.45 for a 3 Kilo item on Special Delivery next day!!! Bloody hell!!
Just hoping I can offload some more stuff tonight so I can hopefully get one this weekend! That's if paypal are nice and let me have my money quickly unlike last time. Held over £200 for well over a month cos they thought I was a scammer the knob jockeys!!
Ah well...
Got a nice sausage casserole to look forward to...from the chef...me! haha.
Hopefully going to get a new power lead for my laptop very soon, so I can start putting on my VST programs and get my music setup up and running finally. I've got a lot of programs to work with so I'm looking forward to playing around with them all and getting some cool sounds. Then finally I can get writing some stuff!

After spending hours on this thing, I've finally decided that I'm happy for now with the way it looks.

Sooo, I'm going to try and keep this "blogging" up to date and let everyone know what happens in my world.
